Chairwoman Lisa McClain, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 9th district, has been vocal on various issues through her social media presence. On June 3, 2025, she shared insights and concerns on a range of topics including tariff negotiations, antisemitism, and gender fairness in sports.

In a tweet from June 3, McClain discussed her recent engagement with business owners and elected officials in Michigan. She expressed that there was "a sense of optimism and hope about President Trump’s tariff negotiations," adding that these stakeholders "trust the President." Later that day, McClain addressed the issue of antisemitism, stating that "Jews should not have to live in fear because of their faith." She highlighted violent antisemitic attacks occurring across various states including Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Colorado, and Michigan. In another tweet from June 3, McClain criticized the participation of men in girls' sports competitions. She described this situation as "pathetic and totally unfair," calling for an end to what she termed as bullying while asserting that "our daughters deserve better." Born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently residing in Bruce at age 57, Lisa McClain has served since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. She graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
