Chairwoman Lisa McClain, representing Michigan's 9th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her activities and engagements through a series of tweets. These posts reflect her ongoing commitment to constituent interaction, educational collaboration, and legislative advocacy.

On June 5, 2025, McClain expressed gratitude for those who attended her "Coffee with Constituents" event in Washington. She emphasized the importance of direct communication with constituents as a means to effectively represent them in Congress. She invited individuals from MI-09 visiting the nation's capital to reach out to her office for more information about their initiatives. "Thank you to everyone who joined me at my Coffee with Constituents in Washington! The conversations were excellent. The best way to represent you in Congress is to hear from you."

Later that day, McClain highlighted a meeting with Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño, President of Cornerstone University. She noted the institution's proactive approach in adapting higher education to meet future workforce demands and expressed appreciation for their discussion on this evolving field. "It was great to sit down with @CornerstoneU's President, Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño."

In another engagement on June 5th, McClain spoke at an event hosted by ShopFloorNAM where she discussed the potential impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act on American manufacturing. She outlined how this legislation could lead to significant economic benefits for manufacturers across the country once enacted into law. "Thank you to @ShopFloorNAM for inviting me to speak with your leadership."

Lisa McClain has been serving Michigan’s 9th District since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021 and continues her work from Bruce, Michigan where she resides.
