Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 9th district since 2021, has recently shared several statements on social media addressing legislative efforts and condemning violence. McClain, who succeeded Paul Mitchell in her congressional role, has been vocal about issues impacting family-owned farms and antisemitic violence.

On June 19, 2025, McClain highlighted the introduction of the ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ACT aimed at protecting family-owned farms from the death tax. She stated that "The ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ACT saves two million family-owned farms from the death tax." She emphasized the importance of allowing these farms to be passed down through generations.

Later that day, McClain expressed concern over an incident involving her colleague Max Miller. In a tweet posted on June 19, she said "I’m disturbed by the antisemitic violence against my colleague @RepMaxMiller." She stressed that political violence and antisemitism should not be tolerated in the country and called for justice against those responsible.

On June 20, McClain urged legislative action regarding her proposed bill. During an appearance on The Steve Gruber Show, she insisted that "The Senate MUST pass act now and pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act." Her advocacy reflects ongoing efforts to secure support for this legislation.

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University obtained in 1997.
