Chairwoman Lisa McClain, representing Michigan's 9th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared a series of updates on social media regarding legislative developments. McClain, who succeeded Paul Mitchell in 2021, is known for her active role in congressional activities and her commitment to serving her constituents.

On July 3, 2025, McClain announced that the House GOP had delivered the full agenda of President Biden and the American people. She stated that "The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is headed to the President’s desk!"

Later that day, she shared another post with a link but without additional commentary or context. The post can be viewed here.

In a subsequent tweet on the same day, McClain elaborated on the potential impacts of The One Big Beautiful Bill Act for Michigan's 9th district. She highlighted several key points: "Lower taxes for workers and small businesses," "Make generational investments in America’s national security," "End the waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayers’ dollars," and "Strengthen, secure, and sustain."

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University, which she obtained in 1997.
