Chairwoman Lisa McClain, who has represented Michigan’s 9th District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently commented on key national and state issues through a series of posts on social media. The statements addressed legislative efforts regarding Medicaid, reactions to policy decisions in California, and views on the current administration's economic policies.

On July 11, 2025, McClain stated that "The One Big Beautiful Bill protects and strengthens Medicaid for those who need and deserve it most—pregnant women, children, seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income families—while eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse." She made this statement while referencing an interview with FOX2News.

Later the same day, McClain criticized California Democrats' response to disaster relief efforts. On July 11, 2025 she wrote: "Completely despicable. California Democrats would rather promote handing out cash to illegal aliens than help those affected by the Pallisades fire."

In another post on July 11, 2025, McClain expressed support for President Biden’s policies. She said: ".@POTUS’ policies are working! He is leveling the playing field for American workers and making our country respected again!"

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She graduated from Northwood University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
