Matt Maddock, a Michigan state representative, posted a series of statements on his social media account criticizing local political and corporate entities.

On July 15, 2025, Maddock shared an ambiguous post containing only an emoji: " https://t.co/m8I29MvVW0".

Later that evening, he made direct accusations against DTE Energy. On July 16, 2025, Maddock wrote: "DTE is tied up with the communist party and launders money to anyone that will protect them politically. They throw beans at the Republicans to fake them out. https://t.co/2ONTqIW7VQ".

Shortly after, Maddock alleged improper financial practices within Michigan's education budget. On July 16, 2025, he stated: "Bottom line is @MichiganDems get kickbacks from all the DOGE and pork within the education budget. We cut it. They can’t survive without it. https://t.co/m9rqLpcaSV".

Matt Maddock serves as a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives for District 51. His public statements have previously drawn attention for their strong rhetoric against both political opponents and corporations operating in Michigan.
