Chairwoman Lisa McClain highlights tax cuts and economic leadership in latest posts

Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on July 16, 2025, addressing economic issues and recent legislative efforts.

In a post at 15:24 UTC, McClain commented on inflation and the administration's handling of it: "NO INFLATION, NO PROBLEM

An hour later, she promoted new legislation aimed at tax relief for lower-income Americans: "The One Big Beautiful Bill is FOR working and middle-class Americans.

McClain has served in Congress since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
