House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain announced the passage of three significant cryptocurrency bills in the House. The bills, namely the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, the CLARITY Act, and the GENIUS Act, aim to enhance America's position in the digital economy.
"For too long, innovators and entrepreneurs have faced regulatory uncertainty that stifled growth. That ends now. House Republicans just put America back in the lead on crypto. Each of these bills is a critical step toward securing America’s leadership in the digital economy while providing accountability and oversight for the industry," said Chairwoman McClain. "We’re answering President Trump’s call to make the United States the crypto capital of the world. I commend Chairman French Hill for his outstanding leadership in getting this done. House Republicans are leading the way."
The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act aims to prevent a government-run digital dollar, ensuring financial privacy and freedom.
The CLARITY Act provides clear guidelines for financial regulators, safeguards consumers, addresses loopholes, and encourages innovation within the U.S.
The GENIUS Act establishes clear regulations for payment stablecoins, protecting consumers and maintaining the U.S. dollar's role as a global financial cornerstone.
