Matt Maddock, Michigan State Representative for 51st District | Michigan House Republicans
Michigan State Representative Matt Maddock recently shared a series of posts on his Twitter account, addressing issues ranging from local environmental disputes to criminal justice policies.
On July 21, 2025, Maddock posted: "Now we’re cookin’ with oil".
The following day, on July 22, 2025, he commented on an ongoing dispute involving the removal of dams and the role of state agencies. Maddock wrote: "I hope Holly fights this and keeps the dam. If the communists run EGLE department wins, you will all have to drill new wells and your waterfront will be mosquito front and really ugly. And they won’t let you cut the six foot weeds that grow. Communists want every dam removed."
Later on July 22, Maddock addressed concerns about bail reform in several states: "Zero Bail states have tens of thousands of fugitives who never see justice and terrorize neighborhoods. Soon our nation will have peace and security again."
Matt Maddock is a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives representing District 51. He has been vocal about various state policies including those related to environmental regulation by Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) as well as criminal justice reforms such as zero-bail policies adopted in other U.S. states.
