Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, shared updates on recent legislative developments and local engagement through a series of posts in late July 2025.
On July 24, McClain announced President Biden's approval of the House GOP’s rescissions package, stating, "Today, @POTUS signed @HouseGOP’s rescissions package that I proudly led the debate for on the House Floor. Republicans are protecting YOUR taxpayer dollars."

On July 26, she expressed appreciation to local pharmacy owners who participated in her roundtable discussion: "Thank you to some of Michigan’s pharmacy owners for joining me at my roundtable yesterday! Local pharmacies offer reliable and affordable options for Americans. The One Big Beautiful Bill provides them the expensing support to grow, and the tools to tackle reimbursement delays."
McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She earned her BBA from Northwood University in 1997. She succeeded Paul Mitchell as representative of Michigan’s 9th district beginning in 2021.
