Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, shared updates on recent legislative actions and commemorative events through her social media accounts over the weekend.
On July 26, 2025, McClain highlighted a new legislative achievement in energy policy, writing, "The @HouseGOP & @POTUS ended the war on energy producers by enacting the One Big Beautiful Bill. This law will create more jobs & lower prices for American families & small businesses. Read more in my joint op-ed with @RepMMM in the @gazettedotcom ".
The following day, July 27, McClain posted a tribute to veterans of the Korean War: "Today, we honor the service and sacrifice made by thousands of Americans to defend freedom during the Korean War. God bless our veterans! ".
Later that same day, she expressed gratitude for her role in Congress and support for former President Donald Trump’s agenda: "Serving Michigan’s 9th District is the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud to help lead the charge to deliver President Trump and the American people’s agenda from the halls of the Congress! ".
Lisa McClain has represented Michigan’s 9th district since succeeding Paul Mitchell in 2021. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently residing in Bruce, McClain graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
