Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently posted several statements on her social media accounts highlighting military recruitment, immigration enforcement, and environmental conservation.

On August 12, 2025, McClain expressed support for the current administration's defense leadership: "Thanks to the leadership of @POTUS and @SecDef, Americans are flocking to recruitment centers, proud to serve our country in uniform!"

Later that day, she addressed immigration enforcement efforts by federal authorities: "Our courageous ICE officers are hard at work ARRESTING terrorists who are in our country illegally and hiding in our communities. I call on ALL @HouseDemocrats to immediately condemn this disgusting and dangerous rhetoric against ICE officers, who are already facing an 830%"

On August 13, 2025, McClain described her visit to a local wildlife area with conservation groups: "I recently toured the St. Clair Flats State Wildlife Area with @DucksUnlimited and the @MichiganDNR. It is an honor to work alongside them to protect our states wetlands, and fight for our Great Lakes in Washington. "

McClain has represented Michigan’s 9th District since replacing Paul Mitchell in Congress in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. McClain holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University.
