Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently used her social media platform to highlight legislative achievements and community engagement in her district.
On August 15, 2025, McClain announced her plans to travel and communicate the outcomes of recent legislation, stating: "I’m hitting the road to share the wins @HouseGOP and @POTUS delivered for you! Whether you’re a factory worker in New Jersey, a fry cook in Pennsylvania, or a working-class family in Michigan, our Big Beautiful Bill cuts YOUR taxes!"
Later that day, she shared details from a visit to AJG Aerospace’s facilities in Clarkston: "Recently, I got to tour AJG Aerospace’s facilities in Clarkston. This American-made manufacturer makes highly specialized components for airplanes and spacecraft. As they grow their business, I shared with them how thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, 100% expensing on R&D" (August 15, 2025).
The following day on August 16, McClain posted about meeting local officials: "Thankful to get to meet with the local elected officials from across MI-09 and share with them the wins coming to our community from the One Big Beautiful Bill. Working together, we are creating a safer, stronger, and more prosperous community to live in and be proud of!"
Lisa McClain has served as the representative for Michigan's 9th District since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. Born in Stockbridge in 1966 and currently residing in Bruce Township at age 57, she graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
