GLWA Sets Oct. 5 to Return to Service

The Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) is continuing to work on the break to the 120-inch water transmission main that distributes finished drinking water from its Lake Huron Water Treatment Facility to communities in the northern part of GLWA's drinking water service area.

While the flushing and disinfection of the main has been ongoing, due to the size and length of the pipe, as well as the technical nature of the process, GLWA is now expecting to return the main to normal operations on Oct. 5.

Rochester Hills residents are still being asked to assist by limiting outdoor water use.
